BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SORBONNE UNIVERSITY

Paris is served by two international airports : Roissy - Charles De Gaule, located north of the capital and Orly located south. Daily flights are available from major cities in the world. There are train and bus services from both airports to the center of the city (see map 1).

There are five railway stations in Paris with daily connections to major cities in Europe. There are metro lines from all railway stations to the center of the city. You can get a free metro plan at all metro stations. To get to the Sorbonne University (see maps 2, 3), you can take the bus, the metro or the underground regional train (RER) :

BUS :
  • Lines 63, 86, 87 : Stop at Odéon or Cluny.
  • Lines 38, 82 : Stop at Ecoles.
MÉTRO :
  • Line 4 : Stop at St. Michel or Odéon.
  • Line 10 : Stop at Cluny-La Sorbonne.
RER (Réseau Express Régional):
  • Line B : Stop at Luxembourg.
  • Line C : Stop at St. Michel - Notre-Dame.
